Lot of Depth Here

When I first opened this game it was not immediately apparent how great it is. Reading the instructions is fairly necessary though you can figure out the general mechanics without doing so. Ive been playing for a few days now and Ive already changed my strategy completely several times. There is a lot of hidden depth to this game. Very fun, no time pressure at all. Doesnt look ridiculous in public. Definitely worth a buy. Source: Brought enough apps at this point I shouldnt talk about it. I dont review but this game is 5 stars. (Also math major, maybe thats affecting my score)

Omg

Buy it! And try giving it a shake during gameplay :)

Far from perfect

I like the fact that its innovative and its kind of fun to play that is why I gave it three stars. I cant possibly see how you could get really good at it and play a game for more than five minutes. Also once you started a game theres no way to quit it without getting all the possible splits. that is mainly why It lost two stars

Ruining my life

Elegant, multilayered, sinister, and deep experience. I have been playing for weeks now and the experience and thinking that unfold in SPL-T are amongst the most satisfying and challenging of any puzzle game Ive played this year. 5 stars. A possible classic. Ruining my life.

Overpriced and boring

Not sure why some people love this game so much. Its stressful and boring.

Great game! Wish I could turn off sounds!

This is a great game. Simple design but not easy to master. My only complaint is that you can not turn off sounds...

Minimalist Perfection

Simogo continues to amaze- each release is so different from the other, while maintaining quality, depth, and uniqueness. These guys are not just cranking out sequels and match three games! Spl-t is a wonderful, addictive puzzler built for simple touch controls. Im at 40k score with 300 splits and I cant stop trying to beat it. Just one more game.... Whether its Device 6, Year Walk, or now Spl-t, you cant go wrong with a Simogo app.

simplicity at its best

such an original game. dont think ive ever played anything like this before. simplicity at its best in terms of the game itself as well as the sleek interface design. thanks for developing !

Amazing. But missing 2 things

This game is great. Lots of depth. But the game need leaderboards and Game Center support. I want to get some friend score wars going on. Also, is there an easier way to restart? Great game. Minimal art and sound in the best way. Worth 2.99. Id pay 5 for it.

Original and Unique

This game is fun to play, and it challenges you more and more as you begin to understand it better and develop strategies. Five stars, but if I had a suggestion, I think you should have a pause/restart menu. Itd let players save their progress and would allow them to start over if they know they made a sequence of bad moves that will ultimately lead to a bad score.

Color?

I like the simplicity of the game but now its pink instead of white, why? Im about to delete it if I cant find a way to change the color.

Great game with flaws

Subtracted two stars for lack of option to restart, and a lack of simple leaderboard support. This is a completely deterministic game. There are no random elements, and therefore it can be "beaten" in the sense that there is one perfect, repeatable way to get the highest possible score. Thus, a leaderboard would just turn into a list of people who have done this in no particular order. Still for those of us who dont have that kind of time, a friends leaderboard would be nice to have for the more casual players.

More than what it seems...

First off, if you loved Simogos other hit, Device 6, you will love this game. If you didnt like Device 6, you will still love this game (as long as you have a respect for puzzle games and care more about thought and strategy than mindless tapping). As some other reviews have mention, theres a lot of depth here. And theyre right. There are TONS of little hidden secrets. One example of this is if you hold on the "Spl-t" title screen you can play a mini-game where your balancing a ball. Theres much more but I think Ill let you figure that out for yourself :) On the surface, this game looks simple. You tap squares alternating the type of line you break. At first glance this game with its simple design, ironically has a lot of rules and looks complicated but once you start to get the hang of it you cant put it down (Also if you shake the device it can change the color if you ever get bored of the normal black and white theme, and if you flip the screen over you can invert the colors). The goal is to get the highest score. Surprisingly, there are TONS of possible strategies to this game, and its just one of those unique games you cant get enough of. Remember, dont quickly disregard the game because of its early frustrations and huge learning curve. All in all this is an amazing game that is easily worth the $2.99, all it needs it time and it will become your new favorite game. Have Fun :)

Crashes every time I try to play

Literally unplayable. Wasted $3

Cool game but huge footprint

93 megabytes for an extremely limited graphics game. I know theres secret stuff but seriously? Is there like a hidden movie or something?!! Music? Spyware?! If anyone knows something about why it uses so much space post a review please!

Cool

Shake to change color.

SPL-T

Hmmmmm. This game is strange, yet interesting. If youre looking for a lot of pizzaz, this game is not for you. If you want a very minimal graphics game with some thinking, then serve yourself up a nice slice of SPL-T pie. For 99 cents its a good little tidbit. As usual, Simogo AB cant be pigeon-holed.

Its not fun

I understand how it works I get it. Ive gotten decent scores but its just not a fun game. I think the issue is you create the sections you need to clear and then clear them indirectly so more often than not you clear sections By accident. Its kinda more fun to just hit the board randomly and see what happens and to me thats not a fun puzzler. Not worth money.

Easy to learn, fun to play

Just check the how to section of the game to learn how to play. This will only take a couple of minutes but it will provide hours and hours of fun. The only improvement I would like to see is a mute button.

Good

Good puzzle game, but it did get old kind of quickly, at least for me. Your experience may vary.
